Happy Birthday Etley!

Sweet Etley Jude is one week old today, so I figured it was the perfect day to blog his birth story! Etley's birthday was the calmest, quietest, easiest birth I've photographed. It was my first birth at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, which is a much smaller hospital than I am used to so I couldn't believe how quiet it was there! It's also less than 20 minutes from my house, which was SO nice because I got to hang out at home and catch up on some editing while getting updates from Tobi throughout the day. Once she was checked at 5cm I headed over to the hospital and I had only been there around half an hour when her doctor checked her again and said she was complete and it was time to push! We all sort of anticipated a lengthy delivery based on Tobi's first delivery but Etley was ready to make his arrival and only 20 minutes later he was here! My favorite photos are the ones where you can see Tobi & Beau smiling in between pushing, as well as their doctor and nurse! Maybe we were all just laughing at The Waterboy playing on tv during delivery, who knows! But Tobi did so well and it was such a laidback, beautiful delivery that I am so glad I got to be a part of! I also love the photos of when sweet Landry met her baby brother for the first time, those are always the sweetest moments when photographing a growing family! The Leger & Parrot families were truly such a pleasure to work with, they all made me feel like family!

I am so thankful that the Leger's allowed me to be a part of their sweet boy's day!
